Well, we nearly have, but here's a totally new field ..... mind you, when I first watched this it immediately opened up a whole new panoply of those " tick celebrations" I keep rumbling on about ... anyhow, what about this lot ? .... prepare yourself for the whole gamut of emotions ... wonder, laughter, curiosity, bewilderment, amazement ....... but mainly, I think, laughter ... of the Laurel and Hardy variety ... .... here's some key moments ...... 3:12 head keeps still ! 5:30 stairs ! I was wondering about stairs. 6:36 balancing ! 7:55 stick man appears ! ... etc.... As you can imagine, the "Comments" are numerous and interesting. Going back to the " are humans still evolving" thing, yes we are ... but in more limited ways.... or maybe, just in different ways.Fewer people die of measles, plague, sepsis and so on these days, but car crashes, plane crashes, bombs, assault rifles, terrorism, obesity, heart attacks, drugs, depression ... they're on the up. And some of the "new" ways of dying are much less directional .... they don't push the human race into specific directions .... they're more random. Also, because in the first world at least ,people are living longer .... no longer dying before the age of 30 as many used to. And that has repercussions .... their reproductive life is much longer, and the children they produce will also live much longer ..... and an exponential population curve appears ! And as for birds ...well, a tiny percentage are getting to depend a bit more on us .... garden feeders, reserves etc. But over the world as a whole, birds are more or less doing what they've always done. Which is good. Because the way things are going, us lot won't be here much longer, at least, not in the vast numbers we have now, and that's a "good" thing. Not that there's any such thing as "good" or "bad" in the Universe. Nope. No such thing . I've started rabbiting on a bit .... But that video does, as they say, "make you think." As does this lovely song ...... I was tired o' being drunk
My face cracked like a joke So I swung through here like a brace of jackrabbits With their necks all broke I stumbled at the door with my boot And I knocked against the jamb And I scrabbled at your chest like a mute With my fists of ham Trying to tell you that I am Telling you I can I can love you again Love you again I'm squinting towards the East My faith makes me a dope But you can take my hand in the darkness, darling Like a length of rope I shaped up overnight, you know The day after she died When I saw my heart, and I tell you, darling It was open wide What with telling you I am Telling I can I can love you again Love you again And it can have no bounds, you know It can have no end But you can take my hand in the darkness, darling When you need a friend And it can change in shape and form But never change in size Well, the water, it runs deep, my darling Where it don't run wide The feather of a hawk was bound Bound around my neck A poultice made of fig The eager little vultures peck And the verse I read in jest And Matthew spoke to me Said, there's a flame that moves like a low-down pest That says, "you will be free" Only tell me that I can Tell me that I can I can love you again Love you again Love you again Love you
