Feb 9th A total expanse of emptyness. Feb 10th 2002 Blue-phase Snow Goose, Pilling. Torrential rain. Feb 11th , 12th, 13th, 14th ...... Not A Sausage ! Feb 15th 2002 Adult Ivory Gull, Fairhaven Lake, Blackpool !!!! Woo ! Feb 16th 1989 Surf Scoter, Llandulas , Gwyneth. Frozen solid was I . 1989 Forster's Tern .. Inland Sea, Anglesey. 1988 Golden Pheasant, Knott's Wood Priory. Feb 18th 0² Feb 19th 1990 American Wigeon, Martin Mere, S. Lancs Feb 20th 2000 Ruddy Shelduck, Pilling Lane Ends, Lancs. Feb 21st 1965 My first ever trip to Leighton Moss with the famous Eric Hardy at the tender age of 15 .... not him .. me. Feb 23-24-25 0³ Feb 26 1986 .. my first Lesser Spot at Mere Sands Wood, S. Lancs. Ace !!! 2002 ... I spotted a male Wheatear at Lane Ends, N. Lancs ... which I later discovered was the first in the country, and the earliest ever in Lancashire. I didn't shut up about it for years! "The Rest Of February" was notable for there being nothing notable. There you are then ...
